Joseph F. Murphy, Ph.D, Esq. is a registered Patent Attorney and has over 15 years experience practicing all aspects of patent prosecution, including patent reissue and reexamination proceedings. Dr. Murphy’s practice also includes international patent prosecution, as well as opinion work, including validity, invalidity, infringement, and freedom to operate opinions, and preparation of Paragraph IV Notice Letters for ANDA filings. He is experienced in diversified technologies, especially in the biotechnological, chemical, and pharmaceutical arts. Dr. Murphy is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University, and obtained his Ph.D. in Physiology at the University of Virginia. Dr. Murphy worked for 6 years in the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Examiner in the field of biotechnology, and obtained his law degree from the George Washington University Law School. In his spare time, Dr. Murphy enjoys hiking and archery, and is a Level 1 Certified Archery Instructor.
